Work with Us
Sarah-Kay Coulter has significant experience as a public speaker, including video, media and is often sought after for Keynotes. She has given talks domestically and internationally and has developed a reputation for evoking feeling in her audience. However, generally she only does two/three talks per year as they are crafted with the specific audience in mind. She will never do the same presentation twice. Her talks have focused on values associated with Te Ao Māori and she is interested to share her mātauranga on Te Taiao (natural world) in ways that engage, inspire and delight audiences. All of her talks connect to living indigenously.
Wild Workshops
We generally work collaboratively, a few of us in the Trust will deliver workshops in various places (generally between Tairāwhiti, Bay of Plenty and Auckland). Most Requested: Mahi Toi - Art Workshops (Corporate / adults and youth)
Whenua prints
These are based on Te Taiao (the environment) and the natural world around us. We provide everything for an eco-printing workshop based on what is found in your local environment. This workshop is approx. 2-3 hours long and begins with a walk to discover and connect with nature. Following this a process of pressing, rolling, stemming and natural dying of material will take place.
Uku Whakapapa Beads
With locally sourced and harvested clay from our whenua, this is a hands-on and engaging workshop to create an art piece for your organisation. We provides all clay, instruction and the tools for sculpting to make a collaborative piece. We will glaze beads and plait harakeke to thread.
School / Corporate Workshops
The Trust has created a number of custom workshops based on needs / requirements of the organisation. We have mainly created workshops for growing leadership capacity in a cross-section of industries. For example, recently we partnered with Paralympics New Zealand to create and deliver a 2 hour workshop to ensure paralympians had key strategies and skills for engaging a young audience. We partnered with an Early Learning Service to grow understanding in Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We focus on growing with teams and organisations and materials are hands-on and engaging. We love crafting workshops based on needs and we are open to co-construct workshops and examples include developing understanding of native birds / plants and living Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
